* 65,000 police officers are assaulted
every year
* A police officer is killed in the
line of duty every 53 hours
* A POLICE OFFICER COMMITS SUICIDE
EVERY DAY
The Pain Behind the Badge is a training
seminar designed to reduce the one
staggering statistic that we have control
over...police suicide.
* How does untreated or under treated
stress or PTSD effect a police
officer?
* How does this effect law enforcement
and agencies?
There is no need for police
officers, agencies or communities to suffer
as a result of general stress, cumulative
stress or PTSD.
Clarke Paris is a 23 year veteran of law
enforcement and is currently employed as a
sergeant with the Las Vegas Metropolitan
Police Department. He is the
Creating/Producer of The Pain Behind the
Badge, a 1 hour documentary film which will
be viewed and be discussed as a part of this
1 day seminar.
His mission is to bridge the gap between law
enforcement officers and the help that is
already provided for them, by convincing
them that any emotions they may be
experiencing are not uncommon. They
are not alone with these feelings, and help
already provided by their respective agency
is effective.
Who should attend? All Supervisors including
Field Training Officers, Critical Incident
Stress Management and any officer concerned about the mental
and emotional health of their officers.
Spouses are also welcomed!
