This one-day instructor development
class is designed and delivered by
experienced female firearms instructors
whose intentions are to share knowledge
gained through years of training women in
law enforcement at every level. A very
honest and realistic approach to enhancing
the female's shooting performance will be
open for discussion.
Primary Objectives: As a result of this
course the firearms instructor will have a
better understanding of vocabulary and
social issues and communication styles. They
will have a broader knowledge of how a
female's physiology plays a role in the
shooting process and the ergonomic aides
currently available to assist the smaller
stature officer. Instructors will also
learn some creative and effective ways of
using peer coaching, introducing competition
into their training, as well as proven
concentration techniques to improve
marksmanship.
Additionally, the firearms instructor will
have the ability to evaluate different
weapon systems and utilize a variety of
ergonomic aides to determine their
applicability. The class will be based on an
open format with time allotted for questions
and information sharing.
Participant requirements: Pen and paper, eye
and ear protection.
